Two great musicians meet at Grefsenkollen, each from a great mountain nation. The Norwegian blues guitarist Amund Maarud is playing together with the Nepalese Ashesh Dangol and his band Ashesh & Nekvam. Amund Maarud is one of Norways best blues guitarists and Ashesh Dangol is often called “the Himalayas Jimi Hendrix” when he has performed at stages in Germany, Spain, Great Britain and Norway.
Before the concert there will be a talk about the situation in Nepal, by Jon Gangdal, and we serve the Nepalese dish Dal Bhat.
This rare musical meeting is a collaboration between Grefsenkollen an ReisNepal and it has a dual purpose; to get Norwegian tourists as quick as possible back to Nepal after the earthquakes in 2015, and to contribute to the rebuilding and development of vital and sustainable destinations and routes that were destroyed.
ReisNepal was founded by Arild Molstad. Jon Gangdal, Olav Myrholt and Trygve S. Kolderup. They all have decades of experience in trekking, expeditions and development work in Nepal. The concert at Grefsenkollen is part of a long tour for Ashesh & Nekvam in Norway and Spain under the name “Pray and Play for Nepal”. The tour is one of many initiatives organized by ReisNepal. All profits go directly to ReisNepal via the Vardestiftelsen. Read more on www.reisnepal.no. Welcome! स्वागत
